In 2007, the SOTRALENTZ group signed the Diversity Charter, a government action to fight against any form of discrimination and promote social cohesion, especially in the field of employment.

In addition to social cohesion, the Diversity Charter also aims to meet the needs of the 2700 signatory companies, by, for example, taking part in changing the recruitment methods.

At SOTRALENTZ, this, for example, is visible in the recruitment of disabled persons, with official acknowledgement from the Maison Départementale des Personnes Handicapées (Departmental Disabled Persons Office previously called COTOREP).

Subsequently, new methods were implemented, such as the Recruitment by Simulation Method (MRS) for selecting welders or heavy metal workers. It consists of identifying the skills and capabilities of the applicants by putting them on the job at the workstation. Thus, selection of the applicant is based on his technical know-how, his ability to adjust and his know-how in comparison to his collaborators.

Lastly, SOTRALENTZ is among the founder companies of Club Entreprises & Quartiers, IMS-Entreprendre pour la Cité of Strasbourg, in Alsace. These organisations are the local spokespersons of companies that want to integrate persons distanced from the world of employment and potentially discriminated in their search efforts or at their place of work.

In case of SOTRALENTZ, this commitment towards diversity aims to optimise the abilities in the Group and to give preference to the involvement of employees. A diversified team helps in better understanding the expectations of its customers, being able to address the new markets and better adjust to the changes.
