In light of the changing face of the Watercooler industry in Europe, we are pleased to inform you that Sotralentz UK Ltd. has joined forces with Capsnap Europe in the 5-gallon water bottle industry.

As of now we will produce the 5 gallon « Semopac by Capsnap » bottles already produced in France and Poland by Capsnap at our plant in Peterlee. This product range includes the bottles we are currently producing for you.

This venture enables Sotralentz to continue its ambition to take the lead in change and managing our environment, by optimising its existing industrial products, developing new services, and fulfilling customer expectations to meet the industrial challenges of today and tomorrow.

Capsnaps’ existing sales and administration structure will take over customer contacts, invoices, quotes and all other issues to do with out Polycarbonate water bottles.

Capsnap was created in 1999, a joint venture between Greiner packaging in Austria and Portola packaging in America. Both of these companies have many years of experience in the 5-gallon industry, and Capsnap was created to specifically serve this market with high quality polycarbonate bottles, 5-gallon Non-Spill caps and bottling equipment.

Products
18,9L bottles with and without handles are produced at Sotralentz Peterlee U.K. factory. These bottles are designed to be re-useable for many trips. Polycarbonate is a material that allows us to blow a bottle that is lightweight, strong and transparent and therefore perfect for the water cooler industry. The 4 ribs make the bottle even stronger and give maximum protection to the label area from scratches.


Quality
All bottles are produced in accordance with ISO 9002. Regular testing includes Drop, Compression and Stress Cracking tests, Weight and Thickness checks to ensure consistent product quality. An integral part of our production process is to stress relieve every bottle through a controlled and monitored infrared oven.


Our bottles are made with polycarbonate resin that complies with European food contact regulation EC Directive 90/128/EEC of 23.02.1990, as amended in 2002/72/EC.

An independent company to ensure that the finish product also complies with this regulation has tested them. Certificates of conformity are available on request.


Equipment
New machine from Krupp Kautex with advanced technology provides a bottle with a calibrated neck to get a perfect product at the end of the production cycle. This smooth neck is standard and fits all kinds of water coolers and caps. A production rate of 120 bottles an hour enables us to satisfy demands very quickly, the total capacity for this machine being 800000 bottles a year. Even in peak season, Sotralentz will provide the best possible security of supply for our customers.


Other services
Bottles can be personalized by automatic labelling and embossing.
The embossing technique allows the bottles to be marked indefinitely with your company name or logo and gives a distinctive look to your bottle.
