Some history
At the start of the seventies, which saw the merger of the companies Lentz and Sotral and of the activities of heavy metal work and welded wire mesh, there appeared a rapidly expanding market: plastics.
From 1972, Sotralentz decided to use the resources of this innovative material and to add a new plastics division to the metals sector. The huge industrial potential of this material allowed a rapid diversification of products (manufacture of plastic jerrycans, drums, containers, fuel oil tanks, vats and storage tanks, septic tanks and accessories) and led to a specialisation in two distinct trades: packaging (go to part 05.01) and habitat.
The rapid development of the individual habitat led to an increasing need for self-contained equipment. Whereas before the products were mainly in concrete, now they can benefit from the qualities of a plastic material obtained from the polymerisation of ethylene, polyethylene. Sotralentz has mastered the technique of coextrusion blow moulding, acquired over three decades of building up its expertise. Sotralentz therefore designs domestic fuel tanks (storage and making the fuel safe) and continues to optimise its products and diversify in water storage and independent waste water treatment called 'self-contained' systems. Sotralentz has become the leading company in the market of domestic fuel tanks, storage vats and tanks and self-contained sewage systems.
